Job summary

The Hotel Northampton is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to join our kitchen team. You will help maintain cleanliness and organization, ensuring all dishes, utensils, and equipment are washed, sanitized, and stored properly.

This role supports our culinary team during busy service periods and requires a cooperative attitude, good hygiene, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant or food service is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Strong attention to hygiene and cleanliness.
• Team player with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate the dishwasher and hand-wash items to keep dishes, glassware, utensils, pots and pans clean.
• Sort, stack, and store clean dishes and cookware in designated areas.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the dishwashing area, including floors and countertops.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a healthy workplace.
• Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Assist in inventory and maintenance of dishwashing supplies and notify management when supplies are low.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
