Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Dishwashing team member in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role supports kitchen and facility operations by maintaining cleanliness, sanitation, and organization across food production areas.

Tasks include cleaning dishes, surfaces, floors, and storage spaces, transporting supplies, and assisting with setup and breakdown as directed. Join a team that values reliability, basic food safety knowledge, and a willingness to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, to include basic concepts of food safety.
• No related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Washes dishes by hand or places them in a dishwashing machine.
• Cleans and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Sweeps, mops, cleans and vacuums floors.
• Removes trash to designated areas.
• Cleans equipment using specific chemicals to maintain sanitary standards.
• Re-stocks supplies, such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning materials.
• Significant walking or other mobility required.
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds.
• Attends work on scheduled shifts with reliability.
