Job summary

P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. in Fresno, CA is hiring a Dishwasher to maintain a safe, sanitized dish area for staff and guests.

You will wash and sanitize all ware, keep the dish room clean, and support kitchen staff during peak times. The position can be full-time or part-time and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced team. Responsibilities include operating an industrial dishwasher, maintaining clean work areas, and following sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Must possess a current Food Handler’s Card, where applicable.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with team members.
• Learn about all chemicals used and learn to use them properly.
• Work around varied temperatures in the kitchen.
• Multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates an industrial dishwasher.
• Wash dishes, sweep/mop floors, clean and maintain equipment, sanitize utensils and maintain all areas of the restaurant.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment or utensils in clean and orderly conditions.
• Clean food preparation areas, facilities or equipment.
• Execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Place clean dishes, utensils or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles.
• Assist prep cook and other kitchen staff during peak times, including basic prep.
• Load or unload trucks delivering food or supplies.
• Perform opening, closing and side work.
• Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately.
