Job summary

Olympia Hospitality in Schroon Lake, New York is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to support a fast-paced kitchen and help deliver an extraordinary dining experience. You will operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely, wash and sanitize dishes, pots and pans, and keep the dishwashing area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment by hand or using dishwashers.
• Sort and stack clean dishes properly, ensuring they are stored in designated areas.
• Empty and clean trash receptacles regularly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dishwashing area, including floors, walls, and countertops.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures, including proper handling of chemicals and cleaning agents.
• Adhere to proper food handling and storage guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow.
