Job summary

The Italiano is seeking a hardworking, dependable Dishwasher to support a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. You’ll help keep dishes, glassware, and utensils clean and organized, enabling the culinary team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

This role offers learning opportunities in kitchen operations and pastry techniques, with credentials like eVerify in place for eligibility. We welcome those starting their restaurant careers or wanting to grow kitchen experience, with competitive pay

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Flexible availability, including mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Prior back-of-house experience is helpful but not required.
• Interest in learning kitchen operations and pastry techniques is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collect and organize used dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Load, operate, and unload commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Properly clean, sanitize, and store kitchen items according to health department standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dish area and kitchen.
• Assist with trash removal and general kitchen cleaning duties.
• Support the culinary team by ensuring clean equipment is always available during service.
• Help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
• Assist with additional kitchen duties as assigned.
