Job summary

The Indigo Road Hospitality Group in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a dedicated Dishwasher to keep dishes and tableware clean and sanitized for lunch and dinner service. You’ll be the backbone that helps the kitchen run smoothly and supports our hospitality standards.

Responsibilities include loading and operating the dish machine, monitoring water temperature, stocking detergents and supplies, and helping with kitchen and dining room cleanup. Positive energy and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and guests.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Constant standing/walking with occasional stooping, kneeling, pushing, pulling, or lifting.

Responsibilities

• Load, run and unload dish machine while keeping dish room clean and organized
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents, cleaning supplies, and clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times
