Job summary

Au Cheval Nashville, operated by Author & Edit Hospitality, is hiring a dishwasher to support our busy dining room in the 12 South neighborhood. You’ll contribute to a warm, energetic atmosphere by keeping tableware clean and the kitchen running smoothly.

This role requires physical stamina, effective communication, and a team-first attitude. Weekend and some holidays availability is expected, with a pay range of $18–$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Prior restaurant dishwashing experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load, run, and unload the dish machine. Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware.
• Keep the dish machine clean and ensure the wash cycle is sanitary and effective; report problems immediately.
• Keep the dish room clean and floors/dining areas mopped; monitor sanitation buckets and production areas.
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
• Follow hygiene and food safety measures.
