Job summary

Lake Nona Realty in Orlando is seeking a dedicated kitchen helper to perform sanitation and dishwashing tasks, maintain clean facilities, and support food service operations.

You will follow instructions, use cleaning equipment safely, and adhere to company dress code; physical requirements include lifting up to 75 pounds and working in hot, damp environments.

Responsibilities

• Complete production sheets and other records as required.
• Maintain clean work area, utensils and equipment.
• Attend to day-to-day problems concerning equipment and supplies and detect spoiled or unattractive items.
• Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china, flatware and glassware.
• Wash wares in dishwashing machine or by hand.
• Polish all silverware and platters.

Job description

• Complete production sheets and other records as required.
• Maintain clean work area, utensils and equipment.
• Attend to day-to-day problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies, detects and ensures disposition of spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment, and or other unusual conditions
• Wash and properly store all cooking utensils, china equipment, flatware and glassware.
• Wash all wares in dishwashing machine or by hand.
• Polish all silverware, platters and chafing dishes.
• Collect trash from kitchen areas; empties garbage barrels, wash and reline with new bags.
• Examine garbage for silverware, dishes and glassware.
• Wash and polish all stainless steel in kitchen, including shelves, dish cabinets, refrigerators, walk-ins, etc.
• Wash or clean receiving area and trash areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors.
• Store all dishes and other wares in proper areas.
• Clean dishwashing machine after each meal period.
• Perform other tasks such as assisting in food preparation, putting away deliveries, cleaning coolers, freezers and store rooms.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Frequently immerses in hands in water.

• This position includes (long periods of) climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling and repetitive motions.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Must be physically able to do assigned work as outlined above.
