Job Summary

Maintains dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in an orderly and sanitary condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Scrapes and rinses food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
2. Washes pots, pans, and trays according to procedures, maintaining sanitation standards.
3. Polishes silverware using burnishing machines, chemical dips, buffing wheels, and hand cloths as assigned, ensuring cleanliness.
4. Ensures compliance with safety procedures.
5. Maintains proper temperatures and chemical levels as per standards.
6. Keeps dish area orderly and compliant with safety standards.
7. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors to meet sanitation standards.
8. Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other food prep surfaces.
9. Removes trash and manages waste disposal.
10. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
11. Assists with loading and unloading supplies and products.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
