“Country Club of Asheville is seeking a Dishwasher to join our team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the main kitchen dish area and other Food and Beverage kitchen prep areas. Responsibilities include washing and properly storing all cooking utensils, china, flatware, and glassware.

Responsibilities

1. Wash all wares using dishwashing machines or by hand, following safety and sanitation standards.
2. Polish silverware, platters, and chafing dishes.
3. Collect and dispose of kitchen trash, ensuring proper recycling and debris removal.
4. Inspect garbage for reusable items like silverware and dishes.
5. Clean and polish stainless steel surfaces and equipment in the kitchen.
6. Maintain cleanliness of receiving, trash, and other kitchen areas.
7. Sweep and mop kitchen floors regularly.
8. Store dishes and wares properly after cleaning.
9. Clean dish machine and surrounding area per schedule.
10. Assist in food prep, store foods post-delivery, and clean coolers and storerooms.
11. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
12. Transport supplies and equipment as needed.
13. Handle china and glassware carefully to prevent breakage.
14. Inspect kitchen floors for cleanliness and safety.
15. Participate in weekly cleaning and maintenance tasks.
16. Store cleaning equipment properly and use chemicals safely.
17. Assist food servers with washing service items as prioritized.
18. Follow sanitation and personal hygiene standards.
19. Attend staff meetings.
20. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Executive Steward.

Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Experience

• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to perform required roles during emergencies.

Licenses and Special Requirements

• Food safety certification.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, climb stairs, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Work in hot, humid, and noisy environments.

Pay range: USD $15.00 - USD $18.00 per hour.
