Job summary

Outback Steakhouse is seeking a Dishwasher to keep dishes, utensils, and the dining area clean and organized. You will ensure wash items meet rinse criteria and support the back-of-house flow, contributing to a safe, efficient kitchen and guest experience.

Ideal candidates are reliable, able to work a variety of shifts, and comfortable lifting up to 30 lbs while maintaining high sanitation standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• BOH experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Team player with reliability and good communication.
• Able to work a variety of opens, swings and closes.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand long shifts.
• Comfortable in hot and cold environments.
• Strong focus on cleanliness and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils.
• Practicing food safety and sanitation.
• Restocking kitchen and cook line as needed during shift.
• General cleaning of the restaurant.
• Pace and organization of dish execution.
• Understand dish machine operation and chemical components.
• Procedures for changing water and chemicals.
• Keep floors clean and dry.
• Keep plates and smallwares clean.
• Inspect and maintain health and safety in storage areas.
• Correct unsafe practices and notify management.
