City Cruises is seeking a Dishwasher for our operation in Philadelphia.

About You:

This person will be adaptable, dynamic, and embody City Experiences' RESPECT Service System.

About the Opportunity:

The successful dishwasher efficiently cleans china and other wares, assists in food preparation, and contributes to galley operations including receiving and storing provisions. The role requires being hospitable and cordial to coworkers and guests, and acting safely and responsibly.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Provide exceptional hospitality to coworkers and guests as prescribed in Our RESPECT Service System.
2. Operate dish machine; ensure all dishes are cleaned, organized, and stored appropriately.
3. Maintain the dish machine in proper working order; perform routine cleaning and refill chemicals as needed.
4. Test and document dish machine temperature and sanitizer daily.
5. Stock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and buffets or food stations.
6. Receive and store food and supplies using proper food handling techniques, including stock rotation and monitoring temperatures of perishable items.
7. Assist in routine cleaning of galley, including daily cleaning of equipment and implements, sanitizing surfaces, and mopping floors.
8. Maintain safety and cleanliness of galley and service areas; sweep and scrub floors, clean garbage cans, and remove trash to designated areas.
9. Be prepared to begin work at scheduled time.
10. Maintain uniform and personal grooming per appearance standards.
11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
2. Previous kitchen experience preferred.
3. Energetic and enthusiastic personality essential.
4. Ability to work under close supervision and take direction.
5. Effective verbal communication skills.
6. Service-oriented, actively seeking to help others.
7. Ability to work for extended periods without sitting.
8. The work may be strenuous and environment warm.
9. Must be able to lift and move heavy items.
10. Availability to work on all major holidays.
11. Must be at least 18 years old.
