Position Overview
The Dishwasher's responsibility is to maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout their assigned area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards exceeding Federal, State, and Local standards.
- Set-up, operate, and clean all kitchen machinery/equipment properly and safely, storing it correctly.
- Clean and sanitize food service, preparation ware, dish room, pot room, and kitchen areas.
- Scrape/spray ware before washing, rack china and glassware, and ensure all ware is clean and sanitary.
- Take out trash, sweep floors, and maintain a dry, spill-free environment.
- Practice proper food handling procedures and store all ware properly.
- Maintain equipment quality through preventative maintenance and cleaning.
- Assist with loading/unloading equipment and maintain a neat workstation.
- Move furniture and equipment as directed, and comply with safety and health procedures.
- Ensure proper checkout procedures and report safety hazards or equipment failures.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States, valid driver’s license, and 18+ years of age.
- Possession of or ability to obtain all required work cards.
- Proper lifting techniques, sanitation and safety knowledge, and effective communication skills in English.
Working Conditions
- Indoor/outdoor work, exposed to heat, steam, wet floors, noise, and varying guest volumes.
- Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods.
- Use hands to handle objects, repeat movements, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reach, climb stairs, balance, and crouch as needed.
