Base pay range

Position Summary

Responsible for washing and storing all kitchen utensils, china, equipment, flatware, and glassware, adhering to health standards, Suburban Inns' core values, and guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions

• Greet guests warmly, ask questions, and make personal connections to ensure they feel valued
• Wash all wares via dishwashing machine or by hand, maintaining sanitation standards
• Manage trash disposal, including emptying cans, breaking down boxes, and checking for reusable items
• Clean and polish kitchen stainless steel surfaces and equipment
• Store all dishes and wares properly
• Clean dish machine and area after each meal period
• Monitor supplies like soap, chemicals, and paper towels, notifying supervisors when low
• Keep kitchen floors clean, debris-free, and dry
• Assist with weekly kitchen cleaning and maintenance tasks
• Store cleaning tools properly
• Maintain regular attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Position Requirements

Basic ability to interpret information and perform arithmetic; good communication skills. No formal education or experience required.

Work Schedule

Varies across day, evening, night, holiday, and weekend shifts based on business needs.

Uniform & Appearance

Uniform shirt and hat provided. Black slacks or Dockers and non-slip shoes required. Hair must be groomed; tattoos and piercings must follow company policy and be covered if not approved.
