Job summary

Denton Village by PureHealth is seeking a Dishwasher Attendant in a Skilled Nursing Facility to assist with cleaning, sanitation, and meal service, ensuring food safety and a clean dining area. You will work under dietary staff supervision and support the kitchen team in maintaining a safe, organized environment.

The role involves assisting with inventory, following health codes, and cooperating with kitchen staff to serve nutritious meals on schedule. Overtime/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
• Basic computer and Microsoft applications skills; must learn new systems.

• Proficient in English; strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

• Must train and direct culinary interns and prep cooks on daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Food Safety & Sanitation: follow regulations for handling, storage and sanitation.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas, follow health codes.
• Assist with cleaning equipment, utensils, and dining areas including dishwashing and garbage disposal.
• Team Collaboration: work with kitchen staff to ensure smooth meal prep and service.
• Assist with inventory and stock rotation, proper labeling and storage.

The Dishwasher Attendant in a Skilled Nursing Facility is responsible for assisting in the cleaning and sanitation needs for meal services, ensuring that all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed. The Dishwasher Attendant works under the supervision of the dietary staff and supports the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. This role directly contributes to the overall satisfaction of residents by providing nutritious and appetizing meals in a timely manner.

• Food Safety & Sanitation:

  • Adhere to all food safety regulations, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, following all health and safety codes.

  • Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas, including dishwashing and garbage disposal.
