Job summary

Sunny Street Cafe in Willow Park, TX is seeking a kitchen team member to support our breakfast and lunch service. You will help keep the kitchen clean, prep dishes, and assist with daily duties to maintain a smooth operation.

We operate 6:30 am–2:15 pm, 7 days a week, with flexible scheduling and PTO benefits. Weekend availability is required; experience is a plus, and teamwork and strong organizational skills are valued.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean kitchen, washes and sorts dishes, and preps foods as needed.
• Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean/dry floors throughout the shift.
• Washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks; uses EcoLab dilutions as directed.
• Assists in storing food deliveries promptly.
• Maintains trash cans and ends shift by taking out waste.
• Keeps dry storage area organized and shelves tidy.
• Follows daily dish cleaning duties.
• Assists in food prep and other tasks as directed by the manager.

We are looking for an individual to fill a vacant spot in our kitchen staff and contribute to the overall excellence of our restaurant.

Requirements

• Previous experience is a plus.
• Must be available to work weekends.
• Must have basic knowledge of kitchen safety
• Must know and follow sanitation procedures.
• Must showcase teamwork and communication skills.
• Must showcase great organizational skills.
• Must be able to multitask and act quickly.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps the dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean/dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions set by EcoLab.
• Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
• Maintains trash cans throughout the shift and removes full trash cans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
• Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
• Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the manager as needed.

We are a breakfast and lunch cafe open from 6:30 am to 2:15 pm, 7 days a week. We serve a traditional menu (eggs any style, omelettes, pancakes, salads, sandwiches, wraps, etc.) We have 2 locations, one in Willow Park (15 min west of Fort Worth) and one in Weatherford.
