Job summary

Wegmans Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support the kitchen team by washing dishes, stocking supplies, and assisting with light food-prep tasks as needed throughout shifts. You will help maintain a clean, organized kitchen and dishwashing area, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with coworkers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Dishwashing experience.

What will I do?

• Support culinary operations by washing dishes, putting away dish loads and performing other kitchen duties as necessary, including some food prep work

Work Environment

The physical demands of this work are classified as light to medium. Work includes repetitive hand and arm movements, standing and walking for long periods, pivoting and trunk twisting, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with coworkers in a fast-paced environment. The average weight range of items lifted is 1 – 10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 25 pounds occasionally. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate to moderately high twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction).The work environment is indoors with exposure to wet, humid conditions near hot equipment (exceeds 135 degrees).Basic tools and equipment used include dishwasher, pots, pans, utensils, sink, scraper, rolling racks, and carts.; Dish washing experience; Customer service experience, preferably in food service, grocery or retail setting
