Job summary

Discovery Land Company’s Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club is seeking a Dishwasher to support the Food & Beverage Culinary Department. The role involves cleaning dishes, maintaining sanitation, and helping prepare utensils for service. You will work with the kitchen team to ensure a clean, organized back-of-house and a compliant, inspection-ready environment.

Flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are required. Prior experience in high-end settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months prior experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club.
• Culinary degree/Certification(s) or relevant on the job experience recommended.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes and kitchen work areas, sweeping kitchen work areas, and removing trash.
• Provide clean cooking utensils for F&B operations and ensure utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and stored properly.
• Maintain safety and proper storage of chemicals; log chemical concentrations.
• Daily set ups of china, glassware, and silverware for all outlets.
• Participate as a team player with other key team members.
• Complete opening/closing procedures as instructed.
• Assist with execution of departmental objectives and goals.
• Monitor inventory levels through regular checks.
• Maintain equipment and ensure proper operation.
• Wash, wipe, sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized, safe manner.

Job description

This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club, set outside of Austin, Texas. Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club is seeking a Dishwasher to join the Food & Beverage Culinary Department. The Dishwasher is responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools. Other responsibilities include washing dishes, china ware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen vessels, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment's. The Dishwasher will help maintains the kitchen, dish washing and back areas in an inspection‑ready condition in accordance with local authority and club guidelines. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes and kitchen work areas, sweeping kitchen work areas, and removing trash.
• Provide clean cooking utensils for the F&B operations and ensure that all utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and correctly stored in the designated areas.
• Maintain safety, proper storage of chemicals, and chemical concentration logs.
• Daily set ups of china, glassware, and silverware items for all outlets.
• Participate as a team player with other key team members.
• Attends department briefings as necessary to communicate necessary.
• Completion of all opening/closing procedures as instructed.
• Assist with execution of departmental objectives and goals.
• Monitoring inventory levels through regular inventory checks.
• Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
• Cleans and maintains floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
• Wash, Wipe, Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
• Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Executive Chef.
• Always Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all company policy and procedures.
• All government, safety, health, and security standards are complied with through the department at all times.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Culinary Degree/Certification(s) or relevant on job experience recommended.

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
