Job summary

Legends Global in Tucson seeks a Kitchen Support/Dishwasher to assist with event prep, dishwashing, and sanitation. You will stage plates, support FOH, and maintain clean work areas during fast-paced events.

The role includes washing, stocking, and light prep tasks, with emphasis on safety, proper storage, and teamwork with the Kitchen Supervisor and Executive Chef. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of related experience in commercial kitchen preferred.
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as dictated by events.

Responsibilities

• Stage plates and setup breakdown area prior to events.
• Assist FOH prior to events as needed; maintain sanitary and safe work environment.
• Keep floors and walls clean and dry; sweep and mop as required.
• Wash dishes by hand or in the dishwashing machine; scrape food from dishes.
• Wash pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, ranges and refrigerators.
• Move supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Keep china, glass, and silver organized; restock banquet storage areas.
• Assist with light prep cooking and plating.
• Support proper food storage and rotation.

Essential duties and Responsibilities

• Stage plates and setup breakdown area prior to events.
• Assist FOH prior to events as needed Maintains sanitary and safe work environment.
• Always maintains clean dry floors and walls, including sweeping and mopping.
• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans, trays, worktables, walls, ranges, refrigerators, and meat blocks.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help keep all China, Glass, and Silver in place, along with keeping the Banquet storage areas stocked and orderly.
• Help with light prep cooking and plating up.
• Assist with proper food storage and rotation.
• Report to work when scheduled, on time, in proper and clean uniform, including name tag.
• Personal appearance and grooming must conform to TCC dress code.
• Keep track of the cleaning supply usages and inform Chef when supplies are getting low.
• Clearly communicates with Kitchen Supervisor and Executive Chef.
• Responsible for being able to communicate well with team members while maintaining a positive and professional work environment.
• Must be able to follow direction given by the Kitchen Supervisor and Executive Chef.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Working Conditions

Fast-paced, very physical environment. May be exposed to extreme cold from walk-in coolers/freezers for up to one hour at a time. May be exposed to extreme heat from hot burners and/or steam for extended periods of time. May be exposed to minimal amount of smoke for extended periods of time. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals. Requires standing for several hours at a time each day.
