Job summary

Blakehurst Senior Living in Towson, MD is seeking a full-time Utility Worker (Dishwasher) to support a busy kitchen within a senior living community.

The role involves dishwashing, pot washing, food storage, and maintaining a clean, sanitary work environment. You must be available to work a 40-hour week with every other weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to set up and operate dishwashing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs under the direction of supervisory personnel, dish and pot washing, general cleaning duties, and storing food and non-food supplies.
• Sets up the dish and pot washing area.
• Prepares for dishwashing and washes pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Distributes and stores clean pots, dishes, and utensils.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, work surfaces and kitchen according to cleaning schedules and procedures.
• Empties trash containers as required.

Primary Responsibilities

Other Duties

• Maintains standards for personal appearance and cleanliness.
• Maintains safe and sanitary conditions.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
