Job summary

Zinc Café & Market is seeking a Dishwasher to support our kitchen team in a fast-paced, community-focused environment. You will operate the dish station, maintain cleanliness, and ensure sanitation standards are met throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Expertise in using and maintaining all dish station equipment.
• Load, run and unload dish machine.
• Keep the dish machine & sinks clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
• Monitor dish machine & sink water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
• Wash and store all kitchenware, baskets and crates. Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. Properly label, replenish and store chemicals.
• Use the proper chemicals for each job while maintain safety for yourself and those around you.
• Keep dish room & storage clean and organized.
• Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and embody an environment of teamwork.
• Handle varying levels of business volume with composure & a positive attitude.
• Perform all opening and closing duties assigned by managers.
• Follow all safety and state guidelines for preventing transmission of Covid-19 and other illnesses.

Work Context:

• Working with hot foods and beverages
• Walking and standing for long periods of time
• Tasks will be performed using and in the proximity of coolers, stoves, and other hot equipment
