Job summary

Weatherly Inn - Tacoma is seeking a dependable Dishwasher to support our Food Service team in Tacoma, WA. You will ensure cleanliness, proper sanitation, and timely dish availability to maintain a smooth dining experience for residents.

Preferred candidates have a GED or high school diploma, 1+ year dishwashing experience, and a current Food Handlers certification. A detail-oriented, organized, and collaborative mindset is essential for this role in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma preferred.
• 1+ year of experience in dishwashing or similar role preferred.
• Food Handlers certification required (within 14 days).
• Detail-oriented, organized, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and store all dishes, glassware, and utensils.
• Assist with meal prep, salads, catering items, and snacks.
• Bus tables in emergencies.
• Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized dish room; follow daily cleaning schedules.
• Report injuries and unsafe conditions immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and store all dishes, glassware, and utensils
• Assist with meal prep, salads, catering items, and snacks
• Bus tables in emergencies
• Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment
• Maintain a clean and organized dish room; follow daily cleaning schedules
• Report injuries and unsafe conditions immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs and push 250 lbs in wheelchair or cart
