Job summary

Harlo Steakhouse and Bar in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a part-time dishwasher to maintain cleanliness of glassware, tableware and utensils, using machine and manual cleaning methods.

You will keep the dishwashing area clean, safe and sanitary, support a fast-paced kitchen, and assist with washing pots, pans and storage tasks while following safety regulations.

Candidates should have the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds and communicate clearly with team members.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of dishwasher experience.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sort, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils.
• Load and operate the dish machine; rewash as needed.
• Keep dishwashing area clean and sanitary at all times.
• Assist with pot and pan washing and general cleaning tasks.
• Follow safety regulations and report issues to the manager.

Job Summary

The Dishwasher maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc. using machine and manual cleaning methods. The Dishwasher also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.

Essential Job Functions

• Sort, rinse, and sanitize dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils to place them in racks to send through dish machine
• Sort and stack clean dishes, carry clean dishes to cooks’ line and other proper storage areas, rewash soiled dishes before delivering
• Change dishwater in dish machine every hour
• Wash pots, pans, and trays by hand
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster
• Set up or break down dishwashing area
• Clean and roll/unroll mats
• Fill and empty soak tubs with cleaning/sanitizing solutions
• Sweep and mop floors
• Assemble and disassemble dish machine efficiently
• Collect and sweep trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster
• Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry
• Notify manager and time dish machine wash or rinse cycle falls below safety standard temperatures
• Able to understand and comply with all safety regulations and rules
• Other duties and tasks as assigned

• Ability to read and/or follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to perform in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Be physically able to lift, reach, bend and stoop.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
• Be able to communicate clearly and effectively

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. In some instances, the entire shift
• Able to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistance
• Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)
• Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to left
• Flexibility in the wrist to scoop, twist, push, pull, lift, and bend
• Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
• Ability to be mobile in walk‑in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° F

Preferred Education and Experience

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED):
• Minimum 1-year dishwasher experience
