Job summary

ASM Global/Shreveport Convention Center is seeking a part-time dishwasher. This role maintains all stewarding tasks, cleans china, glass, and serving equipment, assists with plate-up and delivery for functions, and helps set up and break down banquet buffets.

The position involves working around kitchens, lifting up to 25 lbs, and frequent staff interaction; minimum two years in F&B preferred.

POSITION: PART-TIME Dishwasher

REPORTS TO: Executive Chef/Food and Beverage Manager

FLSA STATUS: Hourly Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

This position maintains all Stewarding functions. Responsible for cleaning of all china, glass, silver and serving equipment; facilitating all plate-up and delivery of all food to prospective functions; set-up and breakdown of all Banquet buffets; cleaning of all Food & Beverage food prep and servicing areas, to include main kitchen, concessions kitchen and back hallways.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Delivery of all food to prospective functions.
• Delivery and set-up and breakdown of all equipment to prospective functions.
• Cleanliness in both kitchens.
• Position is very hands on with excessive interaction with staff.
• Running and maintenance of the main dish machine.
• Must be quick with counting and simple arithmetic.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORK CONTACTS

Daily contact with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef and other convention center employees.

PHYSICAL EFFORT

This position requires stooping and lifting. Substantial standing, walking and pushing and or pulling of equipment. Must be able to lift 25 lbs to the waist.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Works throughout the building.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• At least two (2) years of experience in a Food & Beverage environment.
• Strong ability to work with other staff members in the facility.
• Results oriented individuals with the ability to meet required time lines.
• Ability to undertake and complete multiple tasks.
• Must adhere to local Food Codes.
