Job summary

Sifted is seeking a Dishwasher to join our culinary team in Seattle. You will work alongside an experienced executive chef in a fast-paced kitchen, supporting cleanliness, safety, and daily lunch service for top startups.

The role requires prior kitchen experience, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 9:30am–6pm, with opportunities for growth within a fast-growing company.

• Experience with catering and event servicing.

About the role

Schedule: Monday - Friday // 9:30am-6pm

Sifted is hiring a Dishwasher on our culinary team. We provide daily lunch for some of the hottest startups. We need an extra team member in our kitchen who works well in a fast-paced environment and can help us maintain our food safety and cleanliness standards!

In this role, you will work side by side with an experienced executive chef in our commissary kitchen. If you have a desire to learn, are a dedicated and responsible team player, and are looking to cultivate your skills in the kitchen, we want to meet you!

What you'll be doing

• Dishwashing
• Receiving and storing food shipments
• Cleaning and organizing walk in and dry storage
• Cleaning and closing duties (trash, cardboard)
• Light food prep
• Communicating with chef and manager about any kitchen related issues

Our ideal candidate

• Has worked in previous kitchen roles such as line cook, prep/dishwasher, porter
• Has had experience with catering and event servicing
• Has excellent communication skills
• Has the ability to bend, twist, and stand
• Has the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
