Come join the Outback family as a Dishwasher, where you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of dishes and small wares at the restaurant. Dishwashers are also responsible for trash disposal and linen bag removal. A Dishwasher ensures that washed items meet the appropriate rinse and wash temperature criteria. Your role helps provide each customer with an AUS-SOME dining experience by showcasing our food on perfectly clean plates and silverware.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain organization and flow while washing dishes and utensils.
• Practice food safety and sanitation.
• Restock kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift.
• Perform general cleaning of the restaurant.
• Manage the pace and organization of dish execution.
• Understand and operate the dish machine and its chemical components.
• Change out water and chemicals as needed.
• Keep floors clean and dry.
• Ensure plates and smallware are clean.
• Inspect food receiving, preparation, production, and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Report unsafe practices or conditions to management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1+ year BOH experience in a full-service restaurant preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
• Team player.
• Availability to work various shifts including opens, swings, and closes.
• Ability to lift and move up to 30 lbs.
• Visual abilities to include distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral vision, with focus adjustment.
• Manual dexterity to handle objects, tools, or controls.
• Ability to work in hot and cold environments.
