Job summary

Weavers Way Co-op is seeking a Dishwash­er at our Germantown location. This part-time role offers about 20–29 hours per week with open availability.

You will be part of a team focused on great customer service and safe, efficient dishwashing in a community-minded, member-owned co-op. Responsibilities include kitchen sanitation, inventory support, and maintaining cleanliness of all dishes and equipment per Department of Health standards.

Qualifications

• Proficient knife skills required.
• Direct customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safe food handling.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Familiarity with prepared foods and enthusiasm for food.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen sanitation and cleanup.
• Assist with weekly inventories.
• Ensure dishes, pots, pans, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized per health standards.
• Sort and replenish clean dishes in designated areas.
• Dispose of trash in proper containers.
• Perform light maintenance on kitchen equipment and report malfunctions.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by manager.

Join Weavers Way as a Dishwash

We are looking for an energetic, community-oriented and experienced individual to work as a Dishwasher in our Germantown location. This position is Part-Time with an anticipated 20-29 hours per week. Open availability is required. If you have experience working in a team setting and a passion for great customer service, then we want to hear from you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for kitchen sanitation and clean up
• Weekend work requirements as determined by manager
• Assist with quarterly inventories
• Ensure all dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment is cleaned and sanitized according to Department of Health standards
• Sort and replenish clean dishes in their designated areas
• Dispose of trash in designated containers
• Light maintenance of kitchen and dish equipment while reporting any malfunctions to management
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Fresh Foods Manager or Manager on Duty

This position involves direct handling of common allergens, including dairy, wheat, tree nuts, seafood, fish, and sesame.

Requirements

• Proficient knife skills
• Some retail, restaurant experience preferred
• Direct customer service experience
• Knowledge of safe food handling
• Exhibited ability to work well in a team setting
• Proven ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment when necessary
• Knowledge of prepared foods and an exhibited enthusiasm for food
• Be, or become upon hiring, a member in good standing of Weavers Way Co-op.
