Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Overland Park, KS is seeking a part-time Dishwasher to help maintain a clean, efficient kitchen. You will operate the dishwasher, hand wash when needed, store items properly, and assist kitchen staff during meal service.

You will provide courteous resident service, bus tables, and uphold a safe workspace. The role requires basic English literacy and a willingness to learn. Join a team dedicated to quality care for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwasher and ensure sanitation of dishes, silverware, pots, pans and trays.
• Hand wash kitchen items not suitable for the dishwasher.
• Store items in proper spots and keep kitchen tidy and organized.
• Notify manager if dish machine malfunctions or needs maintenance.
• Clean equipment, appliances, storage area, and sinks per schedule.
• Support kitchen staff with basic prep, restock, or delivery of clean items.

• Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment as required by local and state health departments.
• Perform routine preventative cleaning on dish machine according to schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• Must be age 16 or older
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

• Promote teamwork in providing services to residents.
• Follow state food-handling and kitchen regulations
• Operation of basic kitchen appliances or willingness to learn.
• Working 3-3.75 hours per shift standing, walking, and moving about without the need to sit down
