Job summary

Affinity Gaming, LLC. is seeking a Kitchen Utility Worker to maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, dishes, and equipment, ensuring sanitation and proper food handling.

The role requires standing for extended periods, light to moderate lifting, and adherence to health and safety standards. Responsibilities include washing dishes, stocking supplies, delivering food, and assisting with routine cleaning tasks across shifts.

Qualifications

• One to six months of experience in food service environment preferred.
• Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment usage, kitchen safety, and etiquette.
• Must place an emphasis on a high level of guest service and give the best service possible.
• Must be able to lift and move 50+ pounds.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Cleans inside surfaces of inverted glasses by holding them over revolving brushes.
• Washes pots, pans and trays.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators and meat blocks.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Sorts bottles and breaks disposable ones in bottle crushing machine.
• Polishes silver using burnishing machine tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth.
• Delivers and stocks food to specified area.
• Receives food and places hot food in warmers and cold food and salads into reach-ins.
• Keeps warmers/refrigerators clean throughout the shift.
• Ensures proper labeling and rotation of foods
• Stir food frequently to avoid dryness and cold on top.
• Ensure freshness of food items.
• Ensures work areas are clean and sanitized
• Understands and observes all health and safety regulations
• Other related duties as assigned.

  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
  • Empty trash, mop floors, wipe and sanitize areas.
  • Refill ice dispensers.
  • Stock all beverages including sodas and milk.
  • Stock cups, silverware, plates and condiments.
  • Deep cleans as needed.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with fellow Team Members, Guests and Vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.
• Must be able to lift and move 50+ pounds.
• Must be available to work required shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Previous demonstrated success in meeting attendance requirements.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
