Job summary

FirstService Residential in Orlando, FL is seeking a Dishwasher/Kitchen Helper to ensure a steady supply of clean dishes in a fast-paced food service environment. You will operate the dishwasher, hand-wash glassware when needed, load and unload, and help keep the kitchen stocked.

The role is full-time exempt with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work varied shifts; AEDT will assess applicants.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial dishwasher.
• Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary.
• Empty and clean all trash receptacles
• Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources.
• Clean dish storage.
• Follow sanitation policies at all times.
• Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
• Perform opening, closing and side work assigned.
• Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately.
• Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party.
• Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules.
• Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in various positions, including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time, climbing stairs, navigating the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet the job function
• Ability to lift 50 lbs following appropriate safety procedures.
• Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time;
• Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 3ft);
• Handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment;
• Reach with hands and arms;
• Repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers;
