Job summary

LTD Hospitality Group is seeking a reliable and hardworking Dishwasher for our Newport News location. This entry-level role supports kitchen sanitation, dishwashing, and basic operations within the hotel's food service environment.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans by machine or by hand.
• Store clean dishes and utensils in designated areas.
• Sort and dispose of trash and keep kitchen areas tidy.
• Clean garbage cans and sanitize work surfaces.
• Sweep, scrub floors and maintain equipment in good condition.
• Assist with routine equipment maintenance and setup.

As a Dishwasher, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in our kitchen This is an entry-level position with opportunities for growth and advancement. • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
• Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
• Sweep and scrub floors.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Selecting and using training/instructional methods and procedures appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
• Talking to others to convey information effectively.
• Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
• Equipment Maintenance - Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Be able to set up, operate, clean, and sanitize all equipment in a safe manner.
• Check condition of area and equipment, notifying your manager of areas needing attention.
