Job summary

Co-Dough LLC in Newport, RI is seeking a reliable Dishwasher / Utility Associate to help keep the bakery clean, organized, and running efficiently. You will wash and sanitize dishes, keep the dishwashing area orderly, and assist the production team as needed.

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced bakery environment, stay on top of the dish area, and lift up to 50 pounds. Weekend and early-morning availability may be required.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing, kitchen, bakery, or food-service experience preferred but not required
• Reliable and able to arrive on time and ready to work
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Able to work independently and stay productive without constant supervision
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working around water, cleaning products, hot equipment, and bakery production
• Weekend and early-morning availability may be required

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize sheet pans, mixing bowls, utensils, containers, racks, and other bakery equipment
• Keep the dishwashing area clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout the shift
• Return clean dishes, pans, and equipment to their proper locations
• Prevent dishes and equipment from piling up during busy production
• Maintain clean sinks, floors, drains, shelving, and surrounding work areas
• Empty trash and recycling and replace liners as needed
• Restock soap, paper towels, cleaning supplies, and other sanitation materials
• Follow proper washing, sanitizing, and food-safety procedures
• Assist with general bakery cleaning throughout the shift
• Help clean production equipment and workstations as needed
• Notify management when cleaning supplies are running low or equipment is not functioning properly
• Assist the production team with basic tasks when dishwashing responsibilities are under control
• Clean as you go and help maintain an organized bakery
• Follow all Co-Dough food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards
• Work efficiently and manage time appropriately in a fast-paced environment
• Assist other team members as needed

Co-Dough is looking for a reliable, hardworking Dishwasher / Utility Associate to help keep our bakery clean, organized, and running efficiently.

This is an important behind-the-scenes role in a fast-paced, high-volume bakery. You’ll be responsible for keeping dishes, pans, utensils, equipment, and work areas clean and ready for the production team throughout the day.

We’re looking for someone who works quickly, takes pride in keeping a clean workspace, and can stay on top of the dish area without allowing dishes or equipment to pile up. You should be comfortable working independently while also jumping in to help the team wherever needed.
