Job summary

Murray Calloway County Hospital - CNS is hiring for a hospital culinary team member. The role includes maintaining a clean kitchen, sanitizing cookware, stocking deliveries, and supporting daily food service in the café. Both full-time and part-time positions with day, evening, and night shifts are available.

Applicants must be at least 18, fluent in English, able to work in a team, maintain hygiene, and wear a uniform. Background checks and eligibility verification are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
• Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and storeroom.
• Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes.
• Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift.
• Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner.
• Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot clean floors and high-traffic areas.
• Monitor and empty trash cans.
• Adhere to the facility's health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.

Pay Rate: Hourly - Hourly Plan, 13.50 USD Hourly

We're looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds
• Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job

Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian)
