Eastcastle Place in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Dishwasher to join our residential dining team. This full-time, non-exempt role offers a $15.00 per hour wage and a Monday–Thursday 11:30 am–8:00 pm schedule, with every other weekend.

You will wash, sanitize, and arrange dishes, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and support residents and staff. Prior food service experience is preferred, but eager learners are welcomed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of food service experience preferred.
• Ability to interpret menu and assist residents and staff.
• Courteous, tactful, and able to work under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Maintain cleanliness of designated kitchen areas and equipment.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils to standards.
• Store cleaned items in designated areas; keep areas organized.
• Set up work area per SOP.
• Monitor temperatures and sanitizer levels of dish machine and sink.
• Sweep and mop floors; complete assigned cleaning tasks.
• Assist in delivering high-level resident and guest service.
• Maintain safe, sanitary conditions in work areas and satellite kitchens.
• Complete all assigned cleaning tasks, including heavy cleaning.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain the cleanliness of designated kitchen areas and equipment including proper removal and disposal of garbage, boxes, etc.
• Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, flatware, and small wares to established standards.
• Put all clean items away in specified area, making sure these areas are organized
• Set up work area as per established standard operating procedure.
• Monitor and log temperature and sanitizer concentrations of dish machine and 3 compartment sink as specified.
• Responsible for sweeping and mopping floors and other assigned cleaning tasks.
• Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for our residents and their guests.
• Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in work areas and satellite kitchens, including the proper removal and disposal of all garbage and waste.
• Completes all assigned cleaning tasks, which may include heavy cleaning.
• Maintain personal cleanliness and practice proper sanitation techniques at all times.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of previous food service experience in a nursing home assisted living and/or elderly rehabilitation community, preferred.
• Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
• Ability to work independently and in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires courtesy, tact and graciousness.
• Possesses ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Must use sound judgement, works well under pressure, and possess strong organizational skills.
