Eastcastle Place is seeking a dependable Floor Care Technician to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming flooring across our senior living community in Milwaukee. The role emphasizes hands-on work, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

You'll perform floor care tasks on vinyl, tile, carpet, and other surfaces, follow infection control guidelines, and report safety concerns promptly. Starting pay is $18/hour, with full-time, non-exempt status.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous floor care, housekeeping, or custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment or techniques is a plus (training provided).
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Dependability, punctuality, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, maintain, and restore floor surfaces including vinyl, tile, carpet, and other materials.
• Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and shampooing carpets.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow established cleaning schedules, procedures, and infection control protocols.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly and in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Identify floor damage or safety concerns and report them promptly.
• Maintain storage areas, equipment, and supplies in a clean and organized manner.
• Work respectfully and professionally around residents, families, and care staff.
