Job summary

Sightglass in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time dishwasher for afternoon/evening shifts to keep dishes, pots, pans and utensils clean and sanitized. The role also involves maintaining clean floors, walls and storage areas and delivering guest-centric service in a fast-paced café environment.

Ideal candidates will have Servsafe certification, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and the ability to work quickly and collaboratively. Legal work status in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Sweep and mop floors as needed throughout the shift.
• Make sure trash cans are emptied as needed, and trash cans kept clean.
• Assist cooks and prep cooks when necessary.
• Clean stoves, ovens, fryers, and all kitchen equipment.

We are looking for a part-time, afternoon/evening dishwasher to join our Los Angeles team! The dishwasher is responsible for making sure all dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, and other equipment is kept clean and sanitized. This includes making sure the floors are swept and mopped, and the walls, shelves, storage areas and walk-ins are kept clean and organized. All staff should be focused on and demonstrate a guest-centric attitude and culture. In addition to maintaining our vision by adhering to our values and standards, this position must provide the highest level of service to our guests.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Able to work 8+ hour shifts while standing or walking for extended periods of time.

• Able to grasp, lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Able to maneuver effectively around the kitchen, restaurant office, and up/downstairs.
