Job summary

The Madison Club in La Quinta, California seeks a Dishwasher to operate cleaning equipment, wash dishes, and maintain a pristine kitchen and back areas in line with club guidelines. You will help uphold sanitation, assist with utensil prep for F&B, and support daily opening/closing procedures in a luxury residential club environment.

Ideal candidates have 3 months of high-end hospitality experience, be able to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends, and communicate in English.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months prior experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.
• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (standing, lifting up to 50 pounds).

• Daily set ups of China, glassware, and silverware for all outlets.

Job description

The Dishwasher is responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools. Other responsibilities include washing dishes, China ware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen vessels, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment's. The Dishwasher will help maintains the kitchen, dish washing and back areas in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with local authority and club guidelines. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation standards in all kitchen work areas by cleaning dishes and kitchen work areas, sweeping kitchen work areas, and removing trash.
• Provide clean cooking utensils for the F&B operations and ensure that all utensils and equipment are clean, dry, and correctly stored in the designated areas.
• Maintain safety, proper storage of chemicals, and chemical concentration logs.
• Daily set ups of China, glassware, and silverware items for all outlets.
• Participate as a team player with other key team members.
• Attends department briefings as necessary to communicate necessary.
• Completion of all opening/closing procedures as instructed.
• Assist with execution of departmental objectives and goals.
• Monitoring inventory levels through regular inventory checks.
• Maintain all equipment and be sure it is properly handled and maintained.
• Cleans and maintains floors and walls in kitchen and dish washing area by following standard procedures.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
• Wash, Wipe, Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
• Report any maintenance or hazard issues to the Executive Chef.
• Always Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all company policy and procedures.
• All government, safety, health, and security standards are complied with through the department at all times.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Three (3) months prior experience at a high-end restaurant, resort, or private club required.

• Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

The Company's good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $20-$22 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
