Job summary

Ontario Trillium Foundation in Harvey, LA, is seeking a reliable dishwasher to ensure meal service dishes are clean and ready to serve. You will wash, dry, and stock dishes, assist in maintaining a tidy dish room, and help with kitchen tasks as needed by the chef.

This role requires basic kitchen experience, the ability to handle up to 20 lb loads, and stamina for 8-hour shifts in a hot, humid environment. A flexible schedule is preferred to cover meal service hours.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwasher safely and efficiently.
• Wash glassware and various kitchen items by hand, when necessary.
• Clean iced tea and coffee machines daily.
• Organize and manage the placement of all kitchen items and dishes.
• Perform basic janitorial skills to clean up spills, broken glassware, etc. immediately.
• Report any sanitation or janitorial issues to management.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable Dishwasher to ensure our meal service dishes are clean and ready to serve. You will clean and dry all dishes, glasses, and silverware and check that they are stocked properly throughout your shift. While on duty, you must ensure that the dish room is kept clean and that equipment is stored properly. You will also be responsible for sweeping and mopping floors in the kitchen area, removing trash, and gathering soiled linens from tables at the end of each meal service and anything else that the chef needs assistance with.
