Job summary

Merrill Gardens in Georgetown, TX is seeking a part-time Dishwasher for TRUEWOOD by MERRILL. The role involves kitchen cleaning, washing dishes, and supporting cooks during breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods.

Work hours are 12:00pm to 7:30pm with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off, and shifts on Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Employees provide excellent customer service to residents and team members as part of the MG CARES program.

• Able to follow sanitation procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Cleans pots, pans, and dishes following sanitation procedures.
• Assists the cooks in preparation of meals.
• Prepares dishwasher machine for next cycle.
• Records wash, rinse and sanitize levels on the Dish Machine Temperature Log Sheet.
• Follows closing procedures as the last employee to leave the kitchen.
• Performs additional duties including food storage, dating and labeling.

Merrill Gardens, a privately-owned family company with a proud history of success is currently hiring a part time Dishwasher at TRUEWOOD by MERRILL in Georgetown, TEXAS.

The Dishwasher is responsible for performing various kitchen cleaning and storage activities including dish washing, pot washing, general equipment cleaning, storage and overall janitorial duties in the kitchen and dining areas. Adheres to customer service philosophy by providing excellent customer service to residents, their families, and Team Members.

Provide a high level of customer service to residents, resident families, and Team Members by achieving the standards as outlined in the MG CARES program.

• Cleans pots, pans, and dishes following prescribed procedures found in Company Policy and Procedure for Kitchen Sanitation.
• Assists the cooks in preparation of the breakfast, lunch or dinner meals.
• Prepares dishwasher machine for next dishwashing period.
• Records wash, rinse and sanitize levels on the Dish Machine Temperature Log Sheet.
• Handles all foods, storage, and cleaning activities in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards in compliance with all federal, state and local regulatory procedures regarding food storage, cleaning and preparation.
• Completes all cleaning duties on daily, weekly or monthly cleaning schedules.
• Removes all garbage from the kitchen and dish room.
• Mops the dish-room and kitchen floors twice daily and as needed.
• Follows all closing procedures as outlined in Company Policies and Procedures as the last employee to leaving the kitchen, at the end of the shift.
• Assists with other duties including prep work, hot or cold line assistance, food storage, and dating and labeling.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and manual handling of materials up to 50 lbs. Regular bending, lifting, and reaching are also part of daily responsibilities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
