Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is hiring a Dishwasher for its senior living community. The role supports meal service by washing, sanitizing, and returning dishes, while ensuring cleanliness and safety across kitchen and dining areas.

Shifts are 6am-2pm, Tuesday through Saturday, with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and company programs. Applicants must meet age and background screening requirements and may be asked to wear PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• Six months experience in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff, residents and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (including TB).
• Vaccination and PPE may be required to prevent spread of diseases.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport dishes to kitchen after meals; wash, sanitize, and store properly.
• Assist with breaking down kitchen for cleanup; sanitize dish room and dining areas; empty trash.
• Respond to resident concerns professionally and courteously.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments.

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to the kitchen, cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored at all times, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up. Perform general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
