Job summary

Oakmont Management Group is hiring a Dishwasher for Oakmont of San Jose in Campbell, CA. Shift is 6am-2pm, Tuesday through Saturday, with a pay range of $18.50-$19.50 per hour.

This role supports resident dining needs by cleaning and sanitizing dishware and maintaining a tidy kitchen area. We offer comprehensive benefits and a team-focused environment where authenticity, teamwork and compassion guide daily operations.

Qualifications

• Six months of kitchen or related experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, residents and families
• Must pass criminal background check and health screening including TB tests
• Vaccination/testing and PPE per regulatory guidelines as required

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room prior to meal service
• Transport, wash and sanitize dishes; return clean items to storage
• Assist with kitchen clean-up and sanitation of dish room and surrounding areas
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints professionally
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following safety standards
• Encourage teamwork with co-workers and other departments

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to the kitchen, cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored at all times, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up. Perform general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
