Job summary

Talk of the Town Restaurant Group is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to support the kitchen team. You will clean dishware, glassware, utensils, pots and pans, and return them to storage, while helping with basic prep duties as needed.

The role involves daily back dock cleanliness, garbage removal, and adherence to safety guidelines in a fast-paced environment. Prior dishwashing or bussing experience is preferred, with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Dishwashing experience preferred but not required.
• Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
• Must be neat, organized, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Clean all dishware, glassware, utensils, pots and pans and return them to storage.
• Daily cleaning of meat room, prep areas, back dock, and garbage areas.
• Assist with basic food preparation and help put away vendor orders as needed.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines and report any issues.

SUMMARY

This position supports the Management Team by cleaning all dishware, glassware, utensils, pots and pans and returning them to correct storage. The Dishwasher will be responsible for daily cleaning of Meat room, prep areas, taking out all garbage and keeping the back dock and garbage dumpster area clean and organized. The Dishwasher may perform some basic food prep duties as assigned and may be required to help put away food orders as they arrive from vendors.

Education

Preferred: Working towards High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

Dishwashing or bussing experience recommended, but not required

Physical

• Use of legs and feet, arms and hands, walk, stand, and carry up to 50 lb..
• Able to see and hear within normal standards with corrective devices if necessary.

WORKING CONDITIONS

This person will work in a kitchen atmosphere, which is a semi-hazardous environment with moderate to heavy noise. Hazards include hot surfaces, slippery floors, sharp knives and objects, heavy lifting, hot liquids, kitchen equipment including slicers, processors, and mixers.

The working hours are dependent on the weekly schedule established by the management team

Dinner service only, 5 days’ work week.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

The Dishwasher reports to the Corporate Chef, Chef and Sous Chef and management team
