Opal Collection is seeking a reliable Dishwasher to support kitchen operations. You will collect, wash, and store dishes and kitchenware, ensuring cleanliness and organization across peak hours. You will work in hot, damp environments and handle heavy items, with opportunities to assist in deliveries and prep areas.

Ideal candidates have prior dishwasher experience, strong time management, and a commitment to sanitation rules. Flexibility for weekends and evenings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Work experience as a Dishwasher.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day.
• Ability to work in hot and damp environments.
• Hands-on experience with industrial washing machines.
• Attention to detail and sanitation rules.
• Availability to work in shifts, during weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dish washing machines.
• Wash items by hand when needed (e.g., cutting boards, pots, china).
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately.
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock and place orders when necessary.
• Check washing machines’ operation and report issues promptly.
• Remove garbage regularly.
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor.
• Assist with deliveries to coolers and freezers.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dish washing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Set up workstations before meal prep begins
• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and place orders when necessary
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor
• Prep work
• Washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors
• Assembling, maintaining and breaking down the dish machine
• Setting up and breaking down the cafeteria
• Assisting in putting deliveries away in the coolers and freezers

Requirements and skills

• Work experience as a Dishwasher
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times a day
• Ability to place cases, pans, utensils and plates on both low and high shelves
• Ability to work in hot and damp environments
• Ability to respond to emergency situations to avoid endangering themselves or others
