Job description

The Dishwasher is the backbone of our business. They are solely responsible for the circulation of all our tools. They ensure all the dishes, glasses, silverware, and kitchen equipment are clean and ready to use whenever needed. They support all areas of the restaurant to ensure the flow of our business is not interrupted.

Once hired, you will be trained in your area of expertise to ensure your capability and understanding of safety and sanitation. You will learn our kitchen standards and contribute effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities include following all company standards, performing opening, ongoing, and closing side-work duties.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Food Handlers Card
• Ability to communicate verbally in English with management and co-workers
• Knowledge of proper maintenance and use of equipment
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team
• Willingness to train others on processes, prep, and culture

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Complete opening and closing duties as assigned
• Wash all soiled china, glassware, and flatware using proper procedures and equipment
• Assist with stocking supplies and perishable items when directed by Chef or Sous Chef
• Participate in cleaning the kitchen, including the entire back of house
• Load and unload dishware from the dishwasher to storage areas
• Maintain a clean, dry, and safe dishwashing and kitchen area
• Follow manager’s instructions
• Report to supervisor before leaving
• Follow maintenance and cleaning schedules
• Report safety hazards immediately
• Notify management of shift-related information
