Job summary

Oakmont of El Dorado Hills is seeking a part-time/on-call dishwasher to maintain a clean and organized dish area. Responsibilities include preparing the dish room, transporting dishes, washing and sanitizing, and assisting with kitchen cleanup to support meal service.

Ideal candidates are at least 18 years old with a HS diploma or equivalent; six months of kitchen experience preferred. A background check and health screening, including TB tests, are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prefer six (6) months of experience in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Possess written and verbal communication skills with staff, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport dishes to the kitchen after meals; wash and sanitize; return to storage.
• Assist with kitchen breakdown and general sanitation cleanup of dish room, kitchen, dining areas, and sinks.
• Respond to resident concerns in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to the kitchen, cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored at all times, in accordance with the company�s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up. Perform general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
