Job summary

Oakmont Valencia, part of Oakmont Management Group, is a premier senior living community in California seeking a dedicated Dishwasher. You will prep dish areas, transport and sanitize wares, and assist in kitchen cleanup while fostering a respectful, caring environment for residents and staff.

Qualified candidates are 18+, with some kitchen experience, and able to pass background checks and health screenings. Benefits include comprehensive medical plans, 401(k), and competitive time off.

Qualifications

• Six months of kitchen or similar experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong written and verbal communication with employees, physicians, residents, and families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests (TB tests).
• Vaccination/ PPE requirements may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport dishes to kitchen, wash, sanitize, and store properly.
• Assist with kitchen break down and general sanitation cleanup; empty trash.
• Respond to resident concerns professionally and with care.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment per safety standards.

Pay Range: Starting at $18.47/hr

The Dishwasher is responsible for ensuring that dishes and utensils are returned to the kitchen, cleaned, sanitized, and properly stored at all times, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare dish room/area prior to meal service.
• Transport all dishes to the kitchen following meal preparation and mealtimes. Clear, wash and sanitize dishes and utensils. Return clean dishes and utensils to appropriate storage areas.
• Assist with breaking down the kitchen for clean-up. Perform general clean-up and sanitation clean-up of the dish room, kitchen, dining areas, steam tables, range hoods, sinks, and drains. Empty the trash.
• Respond to resident concerns and complaints in a professional and caring manner.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Prefer six (6) months of experience working in a kitchen or similar setting.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
