Position Overview

Tabor Hill Winery & Restaurant is seeking a dependable, hardworking Dishwasher to join our culinary team. The Dishwasher plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and efficiency of our kitchen and supporting the exceptional dining experience our guests expect.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team, and understands that a great restaurant experience starts with a clean and organized kitchen.

Key Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient dishwashing area throughout the shift.
• Ensure clean dishes and equipment are continuously available to culinary and service teams.
• Follow proper sanitation, food safety, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, work areas, equipment, and storage areas as assigned.
• Remove trash, recycling, and other waste and maintain designated disposal areas.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing kitchen supplies when needed.
• Support basic kitchen cleaning and closing duties.
• Help culinary team members with light food preparation or other tasks when appropriate.
• Communicate promptly with chefs and managers regarding equipment, sanitation, or supply concerns.
• Work collaboratively with culinary, service, and management teams during high-volume periods.
• Follow all Tabor Hill and Moersch Hospitality Group safety, sanitation, and workplace policies.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and established sanitation procedures.
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist the team wherever needed.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization while managing multiple priorities.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak hospitality periods as scheduled.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, lift, and carry.
• Regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work around hot equipment, steam, water, cleaning chemicals, and potentially slippery surfaces.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements associated with washing, cleaning, and kitchen operations.
• Work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
