Job summary

Coaches Burger Bar is seeking a reliable kitchen/utility worker to handle general kitchen and housekeeping duties and provide backup for the cooks. Responsibilities include loading and unloading from the dishwasher, cleaning pots and sinks, organizing items, maintaining surfaces, and restrooms.

You will report any health and safety concerns to management and assist cooks as needed. The role requires basic education (GED preferred) and the ability to read, write, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Work environment requires standing, walking, lifting up to 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads dishes, utensils, and glasses from the dishwasher.
• Cleans pots and pans in sinks and cleans sinks at shift end.
• Places clean glasses, dishes, utensils, and pots in proper locations.
• Cleans designated kitchen surfaces, countertops, walls, mats, floors and ceilings.
• Removes garbage and grease from kitchen areas and disposes properly.
• Sweeps and mops the kitchen area at the end of each shift.
• Carries supplies and stocks as needed.
• Notifies chef when cleaning inventory is low and obtains supplies.
• Reports maintenance, emergencies, and repairs to management.
• Provides general cleaning and upkeep of all restrooms.
• Sweeps and cleans surrounding areas outside the restaurant.
• Assists cook with kitchen responsibilities as requested.

• Loads and unloads all dishes, utensils, and glasses from the dishwasher.*
• Cleans all large pots and pans manually in sinks and cleans sinks at the end of each shift.*
• Places clean glasses, dishes, utensils, and pots in proper locations.*
• Cleans designated surface areas of the kitchen including countertops, walls, mats, floors, and ceilings.*
• Removes garbage and grease from kitchen areas and dispenses in appropriate areas.*
• Sweeps and mops the kitchen area at the end of each shift.*
• Carries supplies into appropriate areas and stock supplies as needed.*
• Notifies chef when cleaning supply inventory is low and obtains additional supplies as needed.*
• Reports any maintenance, emergencies, and/or needed repairs to the manager or owner.*
• Provides general cleaning and upkeep of all restrooms.*
• Sweeps and cleans surrounding areas outside the restaurant.*
• Reports any health and/or safety concerns/violations immediately to management.*
• Assists cook with kitchen responsibilities as requested.*

Education/Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Math Ability
