Job summary

Ruth's Chris Steak House in Wilkes-Barre is seeking a hardworking dishhouse associate to set up, operate and clean the dishwashing area, maintaining clean dishes and supplies for service. You will be responsible for washing, stocking, and sanitizing as part of a fast-paced kitchen team.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 100 pounds, and clear communication with teammates. This is an on-site position with a focus on safety and efficiency to support guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must be able to constantly stand and move for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift 50–100 pounds regularly and handle heavy dishware.
• Must communicate effectively with team and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dishwashing station setup, operation and cleanup.
• Clean and maintain dishwashing machine and surrounding area.
• Stock plateware, glassware and utensils to meet business needs.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions.
