Job summary

This Is It! Southern Kitchen & BBQ is seeking a versatile kitchen associate to maintain the kitchen and service areas in a busy restaurant setting. You will keep utensils, dishes, equipment, and surfaces clean while supporting food prep and catering orders as needed.

Responsibilities include washing dishes, stocking inventory, refilling ice machines, and maintaining lobby and restroom areas. The role may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, with physical duties described in the job

Summary/Objective:

Maintains kitchen area. Keeps cooking utensils, dishes, kitchen equipment/tools, and silverware clean. Responsible for high dusting, sanitizing various surfaces, cleaning trash receptacles and surface areas. Deep cleans commercial restaurant equipment, vacuums/mops floors, cleans windows.

• Stock inventory according to par guidelines
• Fill ice machines as needed.
• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment and tools.
• Assist with food prep as needed (FIFO labeling)

• Parking lot/Trash area monitoring
• Assist with fulfilling catering orders as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has NO supervisory responsibilities, is supervised by Team Lead on duty and reports to the Store Manager

Work Environment:

This job operates in a full-service restaurant kitchen model environment. Role may also serve in outdoor, or event environment as required by project needs.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, 40 inches high without the aid of another person and up to 75 pounds with assistance. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while performing work duties. Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull in the performance of duties. Must be able to use fingers bilaterally and unilaterally (one-handed) to unload boxes and operate equipment related to your job. Must be able to maintain balance and climb three to five feet on a ladder in order to retrieve supplies, store boxes, etc. as required to perform the functions of your job.

Position Type:

Position may be Full Time or Part Time Regular. Evening, Weekend and Holiday work is also required.
